Supplement sold by Whole Foods, Amazon recalled over possible salmonella contamination — Oak Park Business news

A popular supplement sold by Whole Foods and Amazon was recalled because of possible salmonella contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Albuquerque-based Vitality Works Inc. of Albuquerque recalled one lot of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules because the pills are potentially contaminated with salmonella, a recall alert on the FDA s website stated. Recalled pills, lot no. 2025-26227, were sold in white 120-count bottles from Nov. 24, 2025, through Oct. 20, 2026, at Whole Foods stores nationwide and on Amazon. The bottles are marked with an expiration date of Nov. 13, 2028 and anyone with the pills should not take them, the FDA said. Refunds are available at any Whole Foods store. The FDA said no illnesses have been reported to date and that the potential contamination was found through routine sampling.
