Halloween shooting death on Lyman Avenue  — Oak Park Health news

An unidentified woman was shot and killed on the 1100 block of Lyman Avenue just after midnight of Halloween night. Dressed in a Halloween costume, the woman and a male companion were apparently arguing when the man produced a gun and began shooting. Oak Park police responded to a call at 12:29 a.m. and found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds. Based on a preliminary review of Ring camera footage, police reported there were two rounds of shots fired and that ultimately 29 shell casings were found at the scene. Oak Park officers administered life-saving measures to the victim until Oak Park paramedics arrived. The paramedics transported the woman to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. She was pronounced dead at 12:57 a.m., according to police.  The identities of both the victim and the alleged offender remain unknown at this time. Oak Park detectives are actively pursuing all leads, according to a village spokesperson. The post Halloween shooting death on Lyman
